Why we'd rather lose the work than sell you a problem.

We started OMEGA in 2020 after years of walking into homes that had already been sold the wrong work — solar on a north-facing roof, a heat pump in a house that couldn't hold the heat, cavity wall on a property that needed solid-wall treatment. We do it the other way round. The surveyor walks the house first, the plan comes back honest, and the work only goes ahead when the numbers add up.

In 2025 that was about £1.4 million of installations we didn't bid for. We're still here, still busy, still turning work down.

How we measure

We find the heat loss. You keep the savings.

Every survey starts with a thermal camera. Bright yellow is heat escaping where it shouldn’t. Cool purple is fabric doing its job. We trace the loss before we recommend the fix — so the work pays back in fuel, not theory.

The written plan is yours, whether you book the work or not.

A word from Sean.

I spent years in the energy industry watching homeowners get sold the wrong thing. Cavity wall companies pushing cavity fill on homes that didn't need it. Solar firms ignoring the insulation that should've come first. Everyone selling their own product instead of solving the actual problem.

OMEGA exists to do it properly. Survey first. Plan second. Install third. And if the numbers don't work for your home, we say so. Even when it means walking away from the job.

Five years in, we've walked away from £1.4 million in work because it wouldn't have paid back. That number is the one I'm most proud of.

  • Excludes quotes lost to a competitor on price (those are jobs we wanted, not walked away from).
  • Excludes incomplete enquiries that never reached a written quote.

    We don't carry a product range and look for homes to fit it. We carry diagnostic equipment and look for what each home actually needs.

  • One team, start to finish.

    The surveyor who walks your house briefs the crew who installs. No handoffs to subcontractors. No "the sales team said what?"

  • We handle the paperwork.

    Grant applications, eligibility checks, scheme deadlines. That's our job. You sign where we tell you.

  • We'll tell you no.

    If the work won't pay for itself inside a reasonable timeframe, we'll say so. In 2025 that was about £1.4 million of installs we walked away from.

  • Insurer-backed guarantees.

    25-year product warranty. 5-year workmanship. Both underwritten by a third party — so if OMEGA closed, your guarantee still pays out.

    Founded in Colchester

    Two-person insulation crew. CO1-CO7 postcodes. One van. The same office we still work out of.

  2. 2021

    ECO4 & retrofit specialist

    Became an approved ECO4 installer as the scheme launched, securing whole-house packages for eligible homeowners.

  3. 2022

    PAS 2030 + MCS accreditation

    Accreditation came through for cavity wall, loft and solar PV — the certifications that let us file scheme funding on behalf of customers.

  4. 2024

    Heat-pump and battery divisions opened

    Pushed crews beyond the East-of-England heartland into the Midlands, the South and the North. Added MCS-certified heat-pump and battery-storage teams to the existing fabric and solar divisions.

  5. 2026

    UK-wide own-crew installer

    Operating in every English region and across Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Densest coverage in the East of England, where we started. Thirty-plus employed staff: surveyors, retrofit coordinators, heating engineers, insulation installers, solar technicians. Still one phone number.

Pre-1919 solid-wall stock loses around a third of its heat through the fabric. We survey the construction first — brick, lime, cavity, render — and recommend the upgrade that matches the wall, not the catalogue.
