The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) funds insulation and heating upgrades for eligible homeowners and tenants across Essex, Suffolk, Kent, and Cambridgeshire.

- Homeowner or private tenant with landlord permission
- Receiving qualifying benefits (Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Child Tax Credit, ESA, JSA, or Housing Benefit)
- Property with EPC rating of D, E, F, or G

Great British Insulation Scheme
The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) provides free or heavily subsidised insulation for middle-income households not covered by ECO4.
Typical eligibility
- Property in Council Tax bands A–D (England)
- EPC rating of D, E, F, or G
- No existing adequate insulation in the area to be treated

BUS
Boiler Upgrade Scheme
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme provides £7,500 towards air source heat pump installation for homeowners replacing gas or oil boilers.
Typical eligibility
- Own your property (including buy-to-let landlords)
- Replacing an existing fossil fuel heating system (gas, oil, LPG, electric)
- Property must have a valid EPC with no outstanding loft or cavity wall insulation recommendations

SEG
Smart Export Guarantee
The Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) pays you for surplus solar electricity you export to the grid — earning you money from your solar panels.
Typical eligibility
- Solar PV system up to 5MW capacity (domestic systems typically 3–4kW)
- Installation by an MCS-certified installer (OMEGA is MCS certified)
- Smart meter or export meter installed
