    How we handle it

    How we handle it

    We borescope every cavity before injection — a small drilled hole, camera in, photo taken, hole filled. If the cavity is already done, we'll tell you and recommend where your money would actually move the needle.

    What if it makes my walls colder rather than warmer?

    How we handle it

    Thermal bridging — that's the worry. On solid-wall insulation we extend the fabric across lintels, reveals, party walls and floor junctions so cold bridges don't form. It's the detail most installers skip.

    Do I really need 270mm of loft insulation?

    How we handle it

    That's the current best-practice depth — around 330mm of sagged existing material in reality. Topping up from the old 100–150mm standard is cheap, single-day work, and the payback is under four years on most homes.

Will I qualify for grants and funding?

Most homes rated EPC D or below qualify for at least one of the available schemes. Our surveyor checks eligibility against ECO4, GBIS and HUG2 in the same visit — if you qualify, we handle the paperwork.

How disruptive is the installation?

Loft and cavity wall work is typically done in a single day with no disruption to your kitchen or bathroom. Internal wall insulation takes 2–3 days per room and we work one room at a time so you stay comfortable throughout.

What is the difference between internal and external wall insulation?

External wall insulation wraps the outside of your home in a render or board system — best for solid-wall houses where you want to keep your room size. Internal is faster and cheaper but reduces floor area slightly. Our surveyor will recommend the right one for your property.

Does insulation cause damp?

Only if it is installed badly. Every OMEGA install includes a ventilation assessment — we upgrade your ventilation at the same time if needed, and we guarantee against condensation damage for 5 years.
