Welsh housing stock has more solid-wall density than England — over 30% of Welsh homes were built before 1919, and a significant share are stone-built rural cottages or terraced workers' housing in the South Wales valleys. That puts external or internal wall insulation, paired with a properly designed heat pump on off-gas homes, at the top of the retrofit list for most Welsh households. Wales runs its own devolved energy-efficiency scheme alongside the UK-wide grants. Most homeowners qualify for at least one — and don't know it. We check eligibility on the free survey, file the paperwork in our name, and tell you in writing which routes apply and how much they could be worth.
Nest (Wales)
Wales's devolved fuel-poverty scheme, administered by the Energy Saving Trust. Free home energy improvements (insulation, heating, ventilation) for eligible owner-occupiers and private tenants on means-tested benefits, or with health conditions worsened by cold. We check what applies on the survey.
Boiler Upgrade Scheme
Up to £7,500 off an air-source heat pump and £7,500 off a ground-source unit on most installs across Wales. Subject to eligibility — applied directly to your OMEGA quote.
